We normally have sheep available for sale, especially in the summer and fall. The flock size roughly doubles every spring and we can’t keep them all!! What are you looking for? Please note that we do not normally keep multiple rams because they become a management problem on our small farm. Males are normally castrated by six weeks of age. It is important to contact us early if you want a ram lamb for breeding or if you prefer the taste of an intact ram for butcher purposes. RAMS ARE NORMALLY ALL CASTRATED BY JULY 1. IT IS BEST TO CONTACT US IN MAY IF YOU WANT A YOUNG RAM.
February 2024:
We are looking to limit our flock size because of limited acreage, several years of dry weather, and the constraints of young children.
We have a few ewes and ewe lambs for sale. Some of the ewes are bred to lamb in April / May. Asking $200.00 each. Contact us for details. We will have more lambs for sale in early summer. We leave them with their mothers for at least eight weeks, then they can go to a new home. Prices and availability TBD. Contact us EARLY if you want a young ram. We will have goat kids available this year as well, possibly as soon as mid February. Goat prices vary depending upon age and sex. All are dehorned. Young bottle kids, if available, are your least expensive option.
Our registered Romney ram is also for sale, $200.00. Price will go up later in the season. We have used him two seasons and we need to get new blood in. He is a big boy and while not particularly agressive, he does need to be treated with all the normal respect due a mature ram.
Are you a handspinner or do you enjoy felting or other wool crafts? We have multiple fleeces for sale from our 2023 spring shearing, both white and colored. Contact us to let us know what you are looking for. Buyers rave about the quality of our fleeces!
Sales Terms: All sales final. We will ship wool and wool products anywhere in the continental US. We do NOT ship animals anywhere. We MAY deliver animals locally; one-way mileage fee of $1.00 per mile will apply. We will absolutely NOT deliver animals across state lines. Out of state livestock buyers will be responsible for complying with applicable regulations, if any, for interstate livestock sales. Vet charges for health papers WILL apply for ALL out-of state sales, and are in addition to the sale price of the animal(s). All livestock buyers must come to the farm and purchase the animals in person. We reserve the right to refuse any sale. Sale will be refused if you cannot safely transport the animal: ALL livestock must be transported in an enclosed vehicle, enclosed trailer, large pet carrier, or other secure method.
We prefer payment in cash or good local check. Paypal is also an option for out-of-the-area wool sales.
